Giving thanks!

So, this post is a bit late.  I apologize, but I also blame it on my mom as she wants to say something to all 5 of you that actually visit my blog!

This year has been so wonderful in so many ways!  First of all, I am so thankful for Maverick.  I have been so blessed with a healthy and very happy baby.  He makes me want to be a better person and I can't imagine my life without him.  I am so lucky and cannot stress enough how every single day with him has been so much fun and just continues to get even better!  Watching him grow and discover the world around him brings me so much joy; it brings on a whole new meaning to my cup runneth over.  I do not know what the future holds for him, but I am so excited to play a big role in his journey.  My promise to him is to be the best mother I can be by giving him infinite love and support.

I would also like to thank all of my friends and family for their support and encouragement throughout this year.  My life has been like a roller coaster and you have all helped me balance it out.  I am so blessed to have all of you and am forever thankful.  My theme song for the year is Kelly Clarkson's "Stronger" and I definitely could not have done it without each of you.

Happy and safe holidays to all and much love!  Sam xoxo

November Excitement!

I survived my first Halloween and had a great time!  We went to the Rippaville Plantation in Spring Hill, just south of Nashville and it was so much fun.  We went through the corn maze and took a hay ride.  I also had multiple costumes for my first Halloween.  I dressed up as a puppy dog, a scary skeleton, and an elephant.  I also had an 80 pound pumpkin decorated really cool with my name on it.  Mama made me get inside the pumpkin so she could take pictures, it was cold and slimy on my feet, but I did it just to make her happy.

We had visitors last weekend, grandpa Steve came down from Iowa and uncle Shae, aunt Lisette, and cousins Teddy and Leo stayed with us!  I loved playing with Teddy and Leo is getting so big!  Grandpa Steve brought a huge toybox that Todd made just for me!  It is really cool and I can't wait to fill it up with all of my toys!

Mom, grandpa, and uncle Shae went to the Bears game on Sunday and I got to hang out with Miss Elaine, aunt Lisette, and my cousins all day.  We had a great time!  Mom said they had great seats for the game, but the game didn't go so well for the Titans.  It's a good thing grandpa and uncle Shae root for the Bears!

Big news for me:  I now have four teeth and counting!  My bottom two and top two!  I continue to meet milestones and I have finally mastered feeding myself and am now crawling!  It is so much fun to move around and mom says I am really good at it!  I also just starting pulling myself up on things and am clapping my hands!
