Goodbye Summer and Hello Fall!

Greetings!

We had a great end to our summer here in Nashville.  Over the past couple of months we have been very busy going swimming, playing outdoors, and traveling.

Grandpa Steve came to visit in July and he and Mama spent a day of celebrating him for Father's Day. We all went to Roswell to stay with my cousins and I got to go to my first major league baseball game.  It was steamy HOT at the ballgame and the Cubbies beat the Braves so my first game was fabulous!

Another first for me - Mommy took me to the Williamson County Fair.  I had such a great time riding the rides and playing games at the carnival. One of my favorites was the fun house and I can't wait to go to an amusement park someday soon.

We made a trip back to Iowa at the beginning of August and had so much fun with our family.  We stayed with Aunt Stephie, Uncle Steve, and Cousins Amy and Grant.  We stayed down at their camper, spent a night at Fun City, and swam in their pool.  We also got to go on a few boat rides with Grandpa Steve while we were visiting.  Grandma Susie and I had lots of fun swimming and just being silly.

Over the Labor Day weekend we made a trip to Roswell to stay with more family.  I had so much fun with my cousins - we went to their swimming pools and watched fireworks while we were there.  We also celebrated Uncle Shae's 38th birthday with yummy compost cupcakes that Aunt Lisette made.

We traveled back to Iowa with Uncle Shae and Leo in mid-September to celebrate Papa Jim's life. He had been very sick and is now up in heaven with no more pain.  We stayed through the weekend and celebrated Grandma Susie's birthday at Happy Joe's - Leo and I had so much fun playing games and got to pick out some really cool prizes.

Please enjoy some pictures from all of our adventures over the past few months!  Happy Fall and stay safe!
Love,
Mav

Summer, Summer, Summertime!

Greetings!

It is summer here in Nashville and we have been loving every minute of it.  We had a very seasonal spring and once the humidity set in, it got hot fast. It is hard to believe it is July already.

At the beginning of May we went to the circus!  It was a very small show but very cool.  I loved watching all of the performers.  We also made a trip to Lucky Ladd farms for a construction expo and it was so cool to get up on the big tractors! At the end of May we met Aunt Shelley and cousins Finley and Harper in Chattanooga for a weekend get away.  We stayed at the historic Chattanooga Choo-Choo hotel in our very own train car.  The hotel was huge and we had so much fun.  We visited Ruby Falls and the aquarium while we were there, too.  The caves were so neat and the waterfall was magnificent.

June has been tons of fun as I started a gymnastics class at school and we have water play once a week, too.  I love to play in the water and have been learning how to frog-jump and forward roll.  We have made a few trips to the zoo and we have been hanging out at our friends' swimming pools quite a bit. We also took a trip to the local water park, Nashville Shores, and had a great time.  We went down the Big Kahuna slide, played on the slides, floated in the lazy river and rode the waves in the wave pool!

Mama took me to go see my first movie and it was so much fun!  We saw "Home" and I loved watching the movie on the big screen and eating my popcorn snack.

Here are some photos from the last month or so.  Enjoy!

Wishing you all a safe and happy 4th of July!

April and May Happenings

Greetings!  It looks like I didn't make it three months without abandoning my one blog entry a month new year's goal so here is April and May combined.

Over the past couple of months we have stayed very busy.  Mama turned 30 something on April 3rd and this will be the last year of her celebrating turning 30 something. I tell her how pretty she is and that I love her every day so I think that helps.

We colored Easter eggs for Easter and I got to hunt eggs a whole bunch.  We had an egg hunt at my school, another one at the Zoo, and Mama hid eggs around the house for me to find..so much fun!

This spring has been very nice, not too hot so we have been spending tons of time outdoors.  Mama bought me a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle kite and we have been flying it over the past week.  We went to the Buttercup Festival in Nolensville, have been to the Zoo, went and checked out the new baseball stadium, and played at the Maverick parks a lot.

Potty update - I am officially wearing underwear and have been using the potty with minimal accidents since the middle of April.  Mama is so proud of me and I am so proud of me, too.  No more pull ups, yay!

Here are a few photos from the past couple of months.  Also, when we visited Atlanta we took photos of all of the cousins, enjoy!
