I have been very busy over the past few months and wanted to share what we have been up to. I am growing very quickly and love to talk, talk, talk. Grandma Susie says I talk very plain and I am learning new words and sentences every single day. I love to sing nursery rhymes with my Mommy and she loves listening to me sing. Some of my favorites are Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star, Baa Baa Black Sheep, The Muffin Man, and The Alphabet Song.
Over Memorial Day weekend Mommy and I traveled to Effingham, Illinois to meet up with my Cousins Amy and Grant, Aunt Stephanie, and Grandma Susie. Grandma brought me presents - I got a fishing pole, a turtle that swims in the water, and cookies - thank you, Grandma Susie! We had so much fun catching up, swimming in the hotel pool, and playing. Grant and I got to sleep in our pack and plays side by side - we giggled and talked until 9:30 p.m. It was a quick trip, but so worth the drive. We can't wait to head back to Iowa to visit in July for Mommy's Class Reunion.
We had some visitors over the first week of June, my Cousins Teddy and Leo, Aunt Lisette, Uncle Shae, and Darcy came to town. We played with all of my toys and Uncle Shae took us outside to play ball and blow bubbles in the heat, thanks Uncle Shae, it was HOT out there.
I also found out I am going to have a new cousin very soon! Congratulations to Shae and Lisette, can't wait to meet this sweet boy!
Daddy came to town last weekend and took me to the Air Show in Smyrna. I loved watching all of the airplanes and I bounced way up high like an airplane on a ride there. Thank you, Daddy!
We have been going on bike rides, to Monkey Joe's, the zoo, and the lake on the weekends. I love swimming in the water and building sand castles. The summer weather is officially here and we have been loving every minute of it after that long, cold winter.
